Move over Pippa Middleton, this is THE celebrity wedding of the year! Colin the caterpillar cake has popped the question and is set to marry his true love Connie, M&S has exclusively revealed...
After meeting through friends at a birthday party in May last year, and a whirlwind romance, celebrity cake icons Colin and Connie have decided to say "I do". They've been spotted side by side on the shelves of M&S ever since.
Colin's long-term friend Percy Pig is among those attending the star-studded wedding. "Colin was a committed bachelor until he met Connie – he was always out and about at parties with the likes of David Beckham," said Percy. "I'm delighted that Colin has now found his true love. I know he'll be as happy as Penny and I – we can't wait for the celebrations!"

Loyal fans David Beckham, Jessica Ennis-Hill and former Prime Minister David Cameron, who have all had Colin the caterpillar cakes on their birthdays, are also expected to attend.
Connie is a relative newcomer on the celebrity circuit, but she's become somewhat of a style guru. And Connie wants all eyes on her for her big day.
The celebrity cake icon has opted for the best cake designer and chosen a simple look – a striking rose head crown with a flowing white veil. She's even upgraded her iconic pink trainers for a stunning shimmering pair.
Connie is Colin's one true love
Husband-to-be Colin will sport a black top hat and swap his white day shoes for formal black wedding shoes. He'll complete his look with a white rose buttonhole to match Connie's white and pink floral bouquet.
Each caterpillar will also have a pin cushion carrying their wedding bands, along with a sprinkling of confetti to celebrate this special occasion.

An M&S spokesperson said: "Colin and Connie are the perfect match and their big day is set to be the wedding of the year. For Colin it was love at first sight and he couldn't wait to 'put a ring on it'!"
The cakes, priced at £100 for the pair or £50 each, are available for pre-order now but won't be available for delivery until 23 February.
