I experienced Silverstone's new Vale lounge - here's whether it's worth the splurge

With exclusive trackside views, gourmet dining and VIP treatment from start to finish, the Vale is one of the most luxurious ways to experience Formula 1

Silverstone is no stranger to luxury hospitality, but its newest offering, The Vale, takes a different approach.  Rather than the traditional three-course lunch or buffet often associated with race-day packages, guests are treated to an all-day dining experience, with food served throughout the day alongside unrivalled trackside views.

With tickets priced at £6,390, I was keen to find out whether the foodie experience lived up to its eye-watering price tag.

One of the biggest departures from traditional hospitality is the dining. Instead of sitting down for a set meal, guests are free to eat whenever they choose, moving between live cooking stations and sharing plates served throughout the day.

It creates a much more relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to dip in and out between the on-track action without feeling tied to a dining schedule. Whether you want a quick bite before heading trackside or a leisurely lunch, the format works quite well.

The menu is curated by Labombe by Trivet, led by three-Michelin-starred chef Jonny Lake, and it's undoubtedly one of the main highlights of the experience.

Lunch featured an impressive selection of dishes, with plenty of opportunity to sample something different throughout the afternoon.

Standout dishes included a refreshing Asian Pear Salad, a rich Chicken Liver Parfait served with Parmesan and a steamed brioche roll, and Ace's signature tuna temaco with sriracha mayonnaise. To finish, the Madagascan vanilla crème pâtissière provided the perfect sweet ending.

The only thing that felt missing was an evening dining option. As many guests remain long after lunch, a dinner service would have rounded off the experience nicely.

The experience extends beyond the food, too. Throughout the day, guests were treated to exclusive live talks, including a Q&A hosted by Sky Sports F1 presenter Natalia Pinkham with former Formula 1 team principal Otmar Szafnauer. It was a rare opportunity to hear behind-the-scenes stories from the paddock and gain a real insight into life at the highest level of Formula 1.

The suite itself is positioned just steps from the Formula 1 paddock and boasts panoramic views over the pit entry and the circuit's final corners. Intentionally limited in capacity, the space offers a more intimate atmosphere, with guests able to move seamlessly between trackside viewing areas, dining spaces and private lounges.

Throughout the weekend, surprise appearances from current drivers and team principals add another exclusive touch to an already memorable experience.
