Melanie Hamrick was leading the best dressed on Saturday October 17 as she joined fiance Mick Jagger at the annual British Museum Ball in a gorgeous gold gown.

The 39-year-old former ballerina wore a stunning slinky floor-length evening gown that appeared to be by designer Grace Faena. It featured a slim fit, highlighting her svelte figure, with adjustable straps that Melanie wore off-the-shoulder and gorgeous all-over beadwork and a split hem.

Mick, 83, wore a blue silk shirt with black chinos, a patterned belt and a white jacket with a red handkerchief for a pop of bright color.

The event, which raises money for the British Museum, located in central London, has been described as the UK's version of the Met Gala; this year's theme was the color red, a "unifying thread woven through all three of the museum’s upcoming displays."

According to the museum, proceeds this year will go towards its "masterplan" project, which includes overhauling its "outdated energy infrastructure" by phasing out fossil fuels and shifting to low-carbon energy.
