We’re usually rushing to work in the morning with a coffee in one hand and a frazzled look on our faces, but not Myleene Klass – she uses her walk to work as a presenter on Smooth FM as her personal catwalk. Proving she meant business yesterday, Myleene looked amazing in a black fitted suit with a glimpse of glimpse of her bralette – showing how to wear one of the trickiest trends of the moment, underwear as outerwear.

The exposed underwear trend is definitely not for the faint-hearted, and probably not something you’re going to wear to work, but with a little fashion know-how, you can easily embrace it. We’re not talking a naked see-through dress here; go for a fuller bralette or even a corset under a blazer, like Myleene, or pop a lacy bra under a deep V-necked jumper with a flash of the lace peeking through. A sheer top or blouse layered over a fuller bra is perfect for a night out with the girls, or if that all feels a stretch too far, start with a lace-edged silky cami tucked into jeans or a semi-sheer dress with a lacy slip underneath.

If you’re looking for more inspiration on this trend, start with the original purveyors of the bra-under-a-suit-look – the Spice Girls. Who can forget their amazing ensemble to the Spiceworld premiere back in the late nineties, where Posh, Sporty, Scary, Ginger and Baby Spice all wore pinstripe suits with a peek of their bras showing? They replicated the look a few months later for another Spiceworld premiere, swapping their black suits for white. Or, you can look to style stars like Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Olivia Palermo who are often spotting wearing this trend plus the high street is packed with dresses and tops for Autumn/Winter that are calling out for you to be daring and give this trend a try.
