Carla Challis

Carla is HELLO!’s Commerce Partnerships Editor, having banked over 15 years of editorial experience in the print and digital world, writing and editing fashion, beauty and lifestyle content at the Press Association, ASOS and beauty mags. She started her career at the BBC, working on TV shows, before training to be a journalist with an NCTJ.  Carla learned the craft at local newspapers, reporting on London Fashion Week and styling fashion shoots for teen publications. 

Here at HELLO!,  Carla is one of our Shopping Experts, where her day-to-day sees her create shopping content across many areas of obsession, accessories and travel, along with cultivating partnerships between HELLO! and leading consumer brands. 

Accessories are Carla's forte, and she is always keen to hunt out the latest Insta-trends everyone’s wearing or hunt down the necklace our favourite TV stars are wearing. Her favourite thing? Bringing the reader curated edits, from jewellery micro-trends to investment buys along with deep dives on fashion, beauty and travel inspiration, because who doesn't love looking at dreamy holidays? 

Away from work, Carla is a yoga-loving, Real Housewives watching mum-of-one, who can be found walking around the Cambridgeshire countryside with her dog, Sal, listening to crime podcasts. When she has time, you'll find Carla sipping a big glass of red with friends, adding another pair of gold hoops to her jewellery collection and buying far too many clothes for her daughter.
