For the Strictly Come Dancing launch night, Tess Daly dressed to impress - as per usual! The 49-year-old appeared to be inspired by the show's glitter ball trophy and gave us glitz and glamour by the bucketload. We spoke to Tess's main man - stylist James Yardley - who gave us the number one tip for styling a sequin frock. With Christmas less than four months away (eek!), it's best we all swot up now, ready for party season. What's the trick? Well, it's all about keeping accessories to a minimum. "I kept Tess's look clean of jewellery because I think when you're dressing with sequins, adding too many accessories like rings and earrings can spoil the overall look. I wanted to keep it clean, sexy and modern while still being sequiny and Strictlified," James told HELLO!

"I chose the Galvan London gown because it's sequins, so obviously works hand-in-hand with Strictly Come Dancing, but I love the cut. It's super flattering, super modern, cool and current. And I adore using Galvan!"
Another handy tip for the midi length of Tess's dress - ditching the ankle straps. James told us: "Manolo Blahnik is another favourite brand of mine and I used a court shoe rather than sandal so I didn't cut off the foot - therefore elongating the leg."
Tess looked incredible as she attended the launch night for Strictly Come Dancing
If you're desperate to steal Tess's look, the sequin dress will set you back £950, and on Net-A-Porter's website stock is running extremely low. If you're on a budget, perhaps you should check out Claudia Winkleman's ensemble for the Strictly launch night - she opted for a purse-friendly Zara look. Either way, these two starlets are getting us very excited for Strictly Come Dancing 2018. Roll on 8 September…
