Since 2022, Pamela Anderson has been surprising fans all over the world with her notable image change. After announcing she was forgoing the dark, dramatic makeup look she was known for in the '90s and early '00s, her wardrobe appeared to have changed direction, too.
Gone were the sometimes loud, flamboyant dresses that were often risqué in cut, replaced with softer, more conservative looks, from linen trousers to high-end couture and chic ballgowns.
Earlier this week, the mother of two shared a video of herself on her Sonsie Instagram page - the beauty brand she is the co-founder of. In the film, the blonde beauty can be seen embracing a folklore-style aesthetic, donning a cable-knit jumper in orange, which she teamed with a high-waisted, midi, prom-style skirt.
She elevated the look with a matching necktie, which she fastened delicately with a bow. With her tumbling locks wild and carefree, The Last Showgirl star looked relaxed and happy as she promoted the brand's latest product.
This outfit is a radical change from her infamous bold mini skirts and bikini tops, which she defiantly sported throughout her younger years.
Pamela on fashion
Reflecting on her emerging sense of style, Pamela has shared that she felt she was dressing for others with her sometimes outrageous past outfits. "I started to feel like I was dressing for other people, whether that was husbands or just for the rest of the world and how they perceived me," she told Harper's Bazaar in 2024.
Pamela's 2023 Netflix documentary gave her a new lease of life. "It really became about peeling everything away, taking all that noise away and changing myself – I think it's quite poetic, and it brings up a lot of feeling and emotion," she mused.
"Clothing and make-up is a way to express yourself to the world – and I really wanted to be vulnerable. In a fashion sense, that really felt like a bold move to me. I just had this moment where I thought, 'What am I doing? I have got to get off this crazy train. Why am I trying to keep up with the Joneses?' she told the publication.
This about-turn had a hugely positive effect on fans. "People come up to me now and say: 'I never really liked you before, but I actually love you now'," she revealed.
