Forget Victoria's Secret, Zendaya was a real-life walking angel at the final stop of her spellbinding red-carpet run in honour of Christopher Nolan's latest big green adaptation, The Odyssey - and her latest look is heaven-sent.

Attending the premiere in New York on Tuesday night alongside her new husband, Tom Holland, and their A-list cast members, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron and Robert Pattinson, the Challenger's actress blew everyone away with a showstopper finale gown we could have never predicted.

The masterpiece in question was the "Ange" dress, a creation by cutting-edge fashion designer Matières Fécales. The strapless gown was in an exquisite hue of ivory, its corset top featuring a subtle asymmetric sweetheart neckline, and a dramatic thigh-high split skirt elongated out into an endless train.

The gown was masterfully crafted in feather-like materials, the neckline elevated with a plush hem. Completing her look, the Euphoria starlet - who is portraying the Greek goddess Athena in the highly-anticipated film - added a pair of white pointed-toe Christian Louboutin stilettos in collaboration with the avant-garde designer and the pièce de résistance, a pair of floor-length angel wings.

Deity-level glamour

While the Hollywood starlet has been showing her love for a gilded-toffee-inspired makeup palette of late, she turned her red carpet glamour rule book on its head for her closing appearance, the Drama leading lady choosing an au naturel visage.

But her lack of makeup only enhanced her mesmerising look, which was complete with a tumbling waist-length Greek-inspired plait, much like the styles we saw from her appearances in London and Paris. Who doesn't love a full circle moment?

The Method behind the mythic masterpiece

The aforementioned designer, Matières Fécales, opened up about the process of Zendaya choosing the captivating gown, with help from her beloved stylist, Law Roach, who has yet to put a foot wrong.

"Law asked us to save this dress for Z almost two years ago as it was our first couture finale look," the designer penned on Instagram.

"We kept our promise and turned down so many great requests, but knew this was the right fit for such an important creation in our archive. This moment is so special, and we are so grateful to be part of Law and Zendaya’s fearless vision and legacy."
