Game of Thrones may not be returning to our screens until next year, but Gwendoline Christie's schedule shows no signs of calming down. The blonde beauty, who plays Brienne of Tarth in the series, has landed her first major high fashion campaign, for none other than British icon Vivienne Westwood.

"I am so proud to be part of Vivienne Westwood's A/W 15 campaign. I have admired Vivienne ever since I can remember for her revolutionary mind and exquisitely rebellious designs," Gwendoline told Grazia. "I love the 'UNISEX' theme of this collection. It is so relevant for Vivienne Westwood to reassert their activist mindset and create a collection that takes us beyond our current gender stereotypes with beauty and intelligence."

Photographed by Jueren Teller, the actress, who stars in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2 out later this year, shows off her model credentials in dazzling pieces from the designer's Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, in everything from a black leather coat to a striking dark blue off-the-shoulder gown and a colourful tartan-patterned dress.

"Described as "a really interesting woman" by Vivienne, Gwendoline Christie was the perfect choice for our #AW1516 campaign," read a statement on the label's Instagram page, alongside one of the striking images. Gwendoline is no stranger to the world of fashion – the star has been dating designer Giles Deacon since last year and regularly appears on the front row of his shows during fashion week.

However, fans were not surprised that she turned to Vivienne for her first modelling campaign – earlier this year she caused a stir when she stormed the runway for the designer during her London Fashion Week presentation rocking a large grey hat and dramatic eye make-up.
