Stella McCartney presented a voluminous spring/summer 18 collection during Paris Fashion Week on Monday morning. The British designer packed plenty of shapes and shades into her latest line, with reds, fuchsias, blues, and greens all turning heads on the runway. A-list guests included actress Salma Hayek and her husband Francois-Henri Pinault, chairman of luxury conglomerate Kering. While McCartney's fall/winter 17 line focused on power dressing with a muted colour palette, this time models stepped out in more relaxed ensembles, such as a mustard one-sleeved jumpsuit, a Barbie-pink sleeveless peplum top with matching trousers and an oversized grey T-shirt paired with a long red skirt.

The casual summertime vibe was continued with pieces like a dusty rose minidress with long sleeves and a collar worn with flat sandals and a brown off-the-shoulder cotton dress worn over a brown and white vest.

Patterns also popped, with McCartney including a dress that sat below the shoulders of the model and was covered in red, blue and brown drawings, as well as a red, blue and white printed jumpsuit with three-quarter-length flared trousers paired with a denim waistcoat.

Denim elements were also evident in a yellow-wash long-sleeved jumpsuit, pale jeans combined with a slightly darker T-shirt as well as a slouched grey-wash jacket with large pockets over the front, worn with bright pink trousers and what appeared to be a billowing pink top underneath.

Many of the models accessorised with sunglasses, reflecting the season catered for, and footwear ranged from ankle boots to cute heels boasting ribbon ties and strappy detailing. Make-up and hair were kept extremely natural, ensuring all eyes were on the clothes.
