Take a look at Selena Gomez's debut Puma trainer line

The singer showcased her trainers on Instagram this week

Actress and singer Selena Gomez has debuted her first line of sneakers with classic sportswear brand Puma. The Come & Get It hitmaker took on the role of celebrity creative director with the footwear and apparel company in September and her Phenom shoe is now available for sale, with the brunette beauty making the release announcement on Tuesday. "Guys - I'm so excited to share my first campaign for the new @PUMA Phenom. #DoYou," the 25-year-old gushed on her Instagram account in a caption attached to an image of her wearing baggy sports shorts and a tight pink velour sports bra topped off with huge white hoop earrings.

Images from Selena's Phenom photo campaign, which features the singer posing in the lightweight trainers in an elevator and vintage car, were also published to the Puma Women brand account on Monday. Puma Women bosses dubbed the black $90 (£70) sneaker a "fashionable, functional, and fearless" shoe on Instagram, noting Selena designed the footwear with bold women in mind.

“This bold shoe was built for bold women," brand representatives wrote in a statement. "That is why PUMA's newest female ambassador, Selena Gomez, acts as the perfect embodiment of this dynamic shoe. As the ultimate multitasker, she represents women who need to power through their workouts and their days. With IGNITE foam and open mesh inserts, the Phenom is built for just that.”

Selena's new female-forward collection arrives just months after her ex-boyfriend The Weeknd launched his own Parallel shoe design with the German footwear firm in August. The Canadian R&B star became an ambassador for the brand last year. The singer reportedly split from The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, in October, and she is now rumoured to be dating her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber again.
