The Duchess of Edinburgh made an appearance on day four of the Royal Windsor Horse Show in a surprising ensemble. Prince Edward's wife, 61, was seen taking part in the Pol Roger Meet of the British Driving Society, driving her own carriage while wearing an unusual midnight blue velvet top hat.
The statement headpiece featured a wide brim that almost covered her face. Though the brand is unavailable, the hat was previously worn by Sophie to the Royal Windsor Horse Show in 2022.

Sophie also wore a striped neck scarf and finished her look off with the £161 'Nodo' earrings by Giulia Barela.
Like mother, like daughter

As identified by a royal fashion blogger on Instagram, university student Louise donned Gamebirds Clothing's 'Fieldfare Fitted Jacket' in a khaki tweed, which she also wore to the Royal Windsor Horse Show in 2021 and 2022.
It was paired with a felt boater by Jane Taylor, the white 'Brunhilda' blouse by Emilia Wickstead, which she borrowed from her mother, and Laurence Coste's 'Leonidas Two Coin Earrings'.
A royal cowgirl moment

She flattered the midi proportions of the skirt and the western feel of the boots with a belt adorned with a large gold buckle.
