Princess Charlene of Monaco looked effortlessly elegant as she joined her husband, Prince Albert II, for a special engagement in the principality on Tuesday.

The royal couple stepped out to officially inaugurate the new Ida nursery, located within the Héméra residential complex, marking an important addition to Monaco's childcare facilities.

For the occasion, Charlene opted for a sophisticated periwinkle-blue suit, which she paired with statement flats for a polished yet understated look.

The trouser suit consisted of a longline blazer with structured shoulders and notch lapels as well as matching wide-leg trousers featuring crisp front creases.

A simple white top softened the tailored look, while cream flats with statement square buckles, pearl stud earrings and a delicate necklace completed her outfit.

It's no secret that Charlene enjoys wearing suits. Speaking previously to HELLO! about the royal’s tailoring, Angela Kyte, a luxury stylist with a decade of experience in the fashion industry, said: "Princess Charlene’s latest look is a masterclass in understated power dressing.

The royal often rocks a suit

"The double-breasted blazer, with its strong shoulders and clean tailoring, creates a sharp silhouette, while the soft neutral tone keeps the overall feel refined," she tells us.

"It's a modern take on suiting that feels both polished and quietly confident, exactly the direction royal style has been moving in."

Angela also previously explained that there is one aspect of Charlene's look that makes it stand out, which is that it reflects a sense of restraint.

"The crisp shirt, minimal accessories and softly styled hair allow the structure of the suit to take centre stage, rather than competing with it," the stylist added.

"Charlene has always leaned into a more androgynous, tailored aesthetic, and this look reinforces that identity in a way that feels intentional and contemporary."
