The Duchess of Sussex proved that moving to the UK with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children in August 2026 hasn't changed her classic American style choices.
In a new photo shared by her brand, As Ever, Meghan promoted the new notebooks by sharing a photo of herself perched on a chair as she flicked through the pages. Dressed in dark denim jeans and a cardigan, she kept her look low-key, promoting an "intellectual" and "unshowy" aesthetic, according to a fashion expert.
Duchess of Sussex makes designer outfit look 'unshowy'
Analysing her olive-green knit by New York brand Khaite, which retails for £1,950, celebrity stylist Oriona Robb exclusively told HELLO!: "The relaxed silhouette, muted olive tone and understated texture give the outfit a very effortless, almost intellectual feel. There's nothing particularly showy about it, and that's the appeal. It's the kind of understated luxury that doesn't need a visible designer label to make an impression."
Praising her "pared-back" styling, including minimal jewellery and a sleek ponytail, she added: "The earthy green is also a clever colour choice because it feels warmer and more interesting than the predictable beige and cream shades we often associate with quiet luxury. It’s relaxed, sophisticated and very much in keeping with the polished California aesthetic she has cultivated."
How to copy Meghan Markle's US look
The price point makes this more of an "investment piece", Oriona explained, but she gave fans tips on how to replicate the look for less.
"Spending £2,000 on a cardigan is never going to be relatable to everyone, but the styling itself is surprisingly accessible. You could recreate this look with a beautifully cut high-street knit, dark straight-leg jeans and simple gold jewellery.
"My advice would be to focus on the fabric, the fit and how the cardigan falls on the body rather than the price tag. Meghan is demonstrating that knitwear no longer needs to be treated as a practical afterthought. Styled correctly, a cardigan can be one of the most luxurious-looking pieces in your wardrobe," she concluded.
The luxury label is one of Meghan's go-to designers, especially when it comes to some of her more daring looks. For example, she wore a black strapless bustier for the launch party of Highbrow Hippie, which would be considered too risque by today's royal standards, which prefer shoulders to remain covered.
