At 65, Robert Redford's appeal as a romantic lead has endured longer than most actors could hope for. The original blue-eyed boy may finally be growing into those older-man roles, however, if his latest movie is anything to go by.

The actor is to team up with another of Hollywood's hottest properties, Jennifer Lopez, in his new flick. But instead of playing her love interest, Robert will appear as the Bronx-born beauty's father-in-law.

In An Unfinished Life Jen plays an impoverished mother who is forced to move in with her estranged husband's father. Their icy relationship gradually thaws as the pair work together to take care of her young daughter.

The movie is being directed by Lasse Hallstrom, who was behind such memorable movies as Chocolat,The Cider House Rules and The Shipping News.

Robert has just finished shooting The Clearing, a kidnap thriller in which he co-stars with British actress Helen Mirren. Jennifer, meanwhile, is looking forward to the cinema release of her latest films, Gigli and Jersey Girl. The 32-year-old co-stars with fiancé Ben Affleck in both films.
