Jemima keeps Hugh entertained at gala

Society beauty Jemima Khan and handsome beau Hugh Grant were among celebrities living it up at glitzy awards shows on both sides of the Channel on Sunday night.

At the Cesar Awards, where France's top movie honours are handed out, the elegantly clad mother of two held her own against the glamorous Parisian elite in a form-fitting white gown with silver detailing. Meanwhile, in London, Ewan McGregor and Christian Slater were stepping out for the Oliviers which celebrate top theatrical performances.

Although Hugh is one of the acting world's best-loved comedic talents, it was Jemima who had her boyfriend in fits of giggles as they sat through the ceremony. As well as delighting in her company, the Love Actually star also had the opportunity to catch up with another lovely lady, Kristin Scott Thomas, who appeared with him in Four Weddings And A Funeral.

Over in Britain, Stars Wars actor Ewan was enjoying some French charm of his own as he arrived with wife Eve Mavrakis, who hails from the Dordogne. The couple - who've been married ten years - were joined by ER's Alex Kingston and Christian Slater.

Treading the red carpet hand-in-hand, the pair looked extremely comfortable together. Alex and Christian's rapport may stem from the long hours they're putting in to rehearse for One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, which opens on the West End stage next month.
