More than three decades after Four Weddings and a Funeral crashed onto screens and landed itself in the cult classic history books, the film remains one of Britain’s most beloved romantic comedies.

Packed with unforgettable one-liners and chaotic love stories, if its stellar cast was not enough to sell audiences on it, its era-defining rom-com traits should have been.

Catapulting several of its stars into international household names overnight, the cast have all taken very different paths since the film’s release in 1994.

While some remained firmly in the spotlight, others stepped away from acting almost entirely. Here is a look at what the cast of the film are doing now…

Following his role as the film's romantic lead, Charles, Hugh Grant became an international star almost instantly after his portrayal of the commitment-phobic character.

The film launched his romantic comedy career and saw him score huge parts afterwards, including in Notting Hill, Bridget Jones’s Diary and Love Actually.

Now 65, the star has transitioned into darker and more dramatic roles, such as in Heretic, while remaining one of Britain’s most recognisable actors.

Already an established actress before the rom-com's release, she later continued starring in romantic dramas and television projects throughout the 90s and 2000s.

She has since become celebrated for embracing her natural ageing and silver hair in Hollywood and is the mother of rising star Margaret Qualley.
