What is The Chelsea Detective about?
The series follows Max Arnold, a determined detective living on a rundown houseboat in Chelsea, who investigates murder cases in the dark underbelly of London's richest borough.
In the first series, DI Arnold teamed up with no-nonsense DS Priya Shamsie (Sonita Henry) to solve crimes before being paired with strong-willed detective, DS Layla Walsh (Vanessa Emme), for seasons two and three.
In the latest season, DI Max Arnold and DS Layla Walsh uncover the deadly secrets and hidden motives behind the most powerful families and elite institutions in Chelsea.

The opening episode, Death on the Aether, sees the duo investigate the death of an undercover journalist, whose body is pulled from the Thames. Other cases in the four-part series include a gangland shooting and an architect thrown off a balcony.

Who stars in The Chelsea Detective?
Adrian Scarborough (Killing Eve, Gavin & Stacey) plays the titular Chelsea detective, DI Max Arnold, while Vanessa Emme (Bloodlands, Dublin Murders) portrays his trusty partner DS Layla Walsh.
Meanwhile, Lucy Phelps portrays DC Jess Lombard, alongside Peter Bankolé as DC Connor Pollock, Sophie Stone as Ashley Wilton and Frances Barber as Olivia Arnold.
The Chelsea Detective is available to stream on U, with new episodes released weekly on Wednesdays. The series is available on Acorn TV in the US.
