Cheryl Fernandez-Versini gears up for the first X Factor live shows

Cheryl Fernandez-Visini and fellow judges Rita Ora, Nick Grimshaw and Simon Cowell are gearing up for the first of this year’s X Factor live shows. The four judges have shared several pictures from behind-the-scenes at the X Factor studios.It has been an intense week of rehearsals for the 13 acts and all judges have been very hands-on-deck helping their performers prepare for the pressures of the live broadcast.

This year the Girls Aloud singer is in control of the groups category. In last weekend’s episode viewers saw the brunette pick 4th Impact, Alien Uncovered and ReggieNBollie to be her three acts that will represent the category during the live shows.In the released photo Cheryl is giving singing duo ReggieNBollie some tips after their rehearsal. The Newcastle native looks warm and cosy wrapped up in a large brown jumper and blue skinny jeans.

This year’s programme has seen the introduction of two new judges DJ Nick Grimshaw and singer Rita Ora. The Radio One presenter seems to be enjoying his new role as mentor and enjoyed taking his three acts to the BBC radio studio this week. Despite admitting that he was "nervous" for Saturday night’s show, the 31-year-old also revealed that "he’s excited to get the first [show] out of the way."

Heavily-tattooed Rita also opened up about her excitement for her acts to take to the stage. "We’re going to bring it. The girls all have different ways of performing, it’s going to be amazing,” she said adding: “the live shows, week one, it’s all about getting it down…I want the girls to really focus and what make this special is that it is down to the public and it’s about them winning over the public’s heart. "Watch the X Factor on Saturday 31 on ITV from 8pm to 10.15pm.
