Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa, the famous husband and wife duo, are well known for their openness on-air.

With the TV host making his debut as a full-time co-host on Live with Kelly and Mark following Ryan Seacrest's departure, the couple continues to share their lives with viewers.

While visiting SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show With Julia Cunningham, Mark was asked about topics that are off-limits when they're on the air together.

He said: "I would say whatever's appropriate for hanging out with your friends and just riding the line with your significant other and not really pissing them off and them not pissing you off."

Mark acknowledged that he and Kelly have pushed boundaries before, but they've learned to recognize when things have gone too far.

"We've definitely pushed it in the past on this show," he shared.

"We've definitely, like, crossed it a few. I mean, I can't remember exactly what it was, but I remember like, 'Oh, we probably should have talked about that.'"

As a married couple of 27 years, they have developed an understanding of each other's limits, often exchanging unspoken communication to gauge what's acceptable.

"I think it's just kind of in our brains," Mark said.

His transition from guest co-host to permanent co-host brought a new energy to the show. Consuelos explained: "This is for real now and this is what you're doing. So I wouldn't say pressure, but just a different energy, a different weight to it going into it."

He emphasized the importance of being present and enjoying the process: "I have to be in the moment in this show right now. If it's great, great. If it's not so great, we'll try better next time."

After his first day on the job, Consuelos spoke to ET about the experience. "I was very excited to see so many close friends and family and have an audience today, which is, really, live," he said. "It was really nice."

Taking on the responsibility of co-hosting the number one show in the daytime, Mark aims to keep the momentum going.

"I don't want to screw that up," he admitted. "When a team wins a championship, you just want to keep winning championships."

Thankfully, he's not too worried, as he has Kelly by his side. "I've got my Tom Brady," he joked.

Despite their shared career, Kelly revealed that they maintain a healthy work-life balance. "We have very different interests outside of work and outside of our marriage," she said. "The things that we do on a hobby level, on a skill level, are so vastly different."
