The debut episode of Live with Kelly and Mark was met with mixed reactions from viewers, as some criticized the couple's dynamic and others praised their chemistry.

Mark Consuelos recently stepped in as co-host alongside his wife, Kelly Ripa, following Ryan Seacrest’s departure to focus on his other projects.

Some viewers took to Twitter to express their disappointment with the first episode, calling out Kelly, 52, for frequently interrupting her husband and new co-host, Mark, also 52.

Some fans felt that the couple's banter felt forced, while others argued that having a husband and wife duo as co-hosts wasn't engaging.

During the show, the couple interviewed TLC singer Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas and psychic Char Margolis, reminisced on their past moments on the show, and discussed a recent romantic stroll they took through Central Park.

However, moments where Kelly interrupted Mark, seemed to bother some viewers.

One unhappy viewer tweeted: "Kelly, could you please let him talk? OMG," while another suggested a drinking game: "Every time Kelly interrupts Mark, take a shot."

Some viewers were unimpressed with their conversation, calling it "painful" and lacking substance.

Others chimed in with concerns that a husband and wife co-hosting team would not be interesting, as they share the same daily experiences.

A few fans expressed that they already missed Ryan Seacrest.

On the other hand, there were supportive voices among the audience. Some viewers praised the couple's "natural" rapport and "great chemistry," with one person calling them "my new favorite morning duo."

Another viewer appreciated the long-lasting celebrity marriage being showcased on the show and expressed excitement for Mark's addition.

Ryan announced his departure from Live in February, calling the decision: "bittersweet."

While he will miss working with Kelly, he is eager to focus on his other projects, such as hosting American Idol, his radio show on KIIS-FM, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, and expanding the Ryan Seacrest Foundation Studios in pediatric hospitals nationwide.

In a heartfelt farewell, Ryan said he would be happy to guest host whenever Kelly or Mark is unavailable and congratulated Mark on his new role, jokingly giving him permission to remodel his dressing room.
