The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss is back on our screens – and looking better than ever
The 58-year-old stars in the new AMC+ series Yaga, along with Schitt's Creek's Noah Reid, newcomer Clark Backo, and Heated Rivalry breakout Hudson Williams, and it's her intimate scenes with 25-year-old Hudson that drive the terrifying new trailer. Watch it above.
Carrie stars as Katherine, a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, whose voiceover leads the first-look scenes as she describes the many facets of Baba Yaga, the witch-like figure from Slavic folklore on which the show, and original play, are based.
© Crave"There's versions of her all over the world, sometimes she's an ugly old witch… sometimes she's a wise woman," she says, as the trailer begins to introduce viewers to this small coastal town, where a body washes up on shore.
Katherine continues: "Sometimes she kills him, sometimes she eats him, sometimes she f***s him,” as the video then cuts to a montage of clips from the show, including Hudson as Henry Park, the young heir to a powerful fishery, in a sexual embrace with Katherine, as well as demonic activity and rituals taking place.
© CraveThe clips also show Noah as Radd, a private investigator who arrives in the small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of Henry, and finds himself unwillingly teaming up with apprehensive local detective, Carson (Clark Backo).
Carrie-Anne is most known to audiences for her work in The Matrix franchise as Trinity, but inYaga, the actress reveals a far different look. Gone is the slicked-back black hair and leather outfits, with Yaga showing off a more mythical look with soft, long brunette hair, and a haunting voice.

Hudson was not in attendance, but he recorded a video message for the packed room. "I wish I could be there with you today, and that beautiful cast and crew that I love so much," he said. "I’ve also never been to Comic-Con so I’d really love to be there!"
"The show was a blast," he continued. "It was a wild one to film, and I just hope you guys love it as much as I had fun filming it."
© Crave"I am the smartest showrunner in the world," Kat said of hiring Hudson in early 2026 amid the success of Heated Rivalry. "We’re very lucky that he wanted to come play."
"You’ll get to see another side of Hudson's acting capabilities," Noah said, on stage during the panel moderated by Damien Holbrook. "It’s a wild performance. He’s got blue eyes, which everyone’s been commenting on. It’s like 'Oh that’s kind of scary hot.'"
