The 2026 TV Awards season is upon us, with Emmy-winner Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) and Emmy-winner Jeff Hiller (Somebody Somewhere) announcing this year's Emmys nominations on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, live from Los Angeles.

This year's nominees look set to be a solid mix of newcomers and returning shows, with The Pitt and Hacks as well as The Diplomat, Paradise, and Slow Horses, and Only Murders in the Building, and Shrinking, potentially going up against Pluribus, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Task, and Widow's Bay, and Margo's Got Money Troubles.

Heated Rivalry's Connor Storrie will also be hoping for an Emmy nomination for his genuinely brilliant turn as a host on Saturday Night Live; he is on the longlist for the Comedy Guest Actor category, but has stiff competition from The Bear and Shrinking, both of which had a plethora of outstanding guest appearances.

Remember – Heated Rivalry will not receive any nominations, as it is 100 per cent a Canadian production. To receive an Emmy nomination, a TV show must, in part, be produced by a US company as well.

The announcement will begin at 8:30 AM local time with the two actors revealing nominees for the top categories including Best Drama Series and Best Comedy Series.

The nominees for Outstanding Variety Series and Outstanding Reality Competition Program will be announced on NBC TODAY between 7:45/6.45c AM and 8:20/7.20c AM.

Keep checking back for all the nominations…
