Playing a college student proved to be an education in acting for Scott Michael Foster. For four seasons, the actor portrayed the lovable Kappa Tau Gamma fraternity member Cappie on ABC Family's Greek.
"That was my education. That was my college and my like actor prep," Scott told HELLO! earlier this year on the set of his new Hallmark+ series Paris is Always a Good Idea. "I learned how to do this job on that set. I look back and I'm very fortunate I got to have that experience."
The show, also starring Spencer Grammer, Jake McDorman and Jacob Zachar, centered around students in Greek life at Cyprus-Rhodes University. The series ran from 2007 until 2011.
All these years later, Scott would be game to bring a little Greek style chaos to a Hallmark movie. "Oh man, you want to ask Hallmark if they want to pitch Greek 20 years later? Someone put it in the works. I'd be down for that," he said.
© 2026 Hallmark Media/Eric CaroUntil then, Greek and Hallmark fans can catch Scott opposite Lacey Chabert in Paris is Always a Good Idea, a new romance series based on Jenn McKinlay's bestselling novel of the same name. The six-episode series, premiering July 30, follows Lacey's character, Chelsea Martin, as she travels around Europe, revisiting past loves, while her coworker Jason Knightly (Scott) grows curious. It's a project that Scott feels "very lucky to be a part of."
The limited series marks the first time Scott has teamed up with the Queen of Hallmark. "Not that I think anybody should ever feel like they are important enough to treat anybody in a certain way, but having done, I think she said like 45 Hallmark [projects]. 'I was like, oh, you're like royalty, right? You are literally the queen of Hallmark'. She is so nice to everyone," Scott shared. "She literally doesn't act like a diva in any way. She's just such a gem, when you know she's been like the boss for so long."
Lacey's onscreen dad Henry Czerny also sang the executive producer and actress' praises, telling HELLO! on set: "Lacey's terrific. She's a wonderful person on and off set, as a matter of fact. Behind the camera she's terrific, and in front of the camera she's even better."

"I think it covers everything. You've got loss. You've got sisterly love. You've got like romance. You've got parenthood. You've got everything," Rebecca teased to HELLO!.
As for what viewers are going to love most about Paris is Always a Good Idea, Rebecca said: "I think probably getting to see some of the amazing sights of Paris and getting to see a love story unfold, kind of within all of that. I mean, who wouldn't want to sit and watch all of that? And also getting to like kind of go to Ireland and Spain, so it's almost like a traveling program, whilst also falling in love and exploring kind of sisterly dynamics and family dynamics as well. It's got so much in it."
Paris was the first stop in Chelsea's globe-trotting adventure, before production moved on to Spain. In her May digital cover story, Lacey revealed to HELLO! that it started snowing one day while filming at the Eiffel Tower. "You couldn't see it on camera. But when we were very high up, because it was a rainstorm that night, it was actually snow up there that turned into rain by the time it hit the ground. It was unreal," she shared. "The whole thing is so dreamy. It's such a well-written, beautiful show, and then to have the backdrop of gorgeous Paris and all of the other places we're going to be going, it's just dreamy."
Lacey added with a laugh: "I was like, 'Hold on, we're not making a Christmas movie!'"
Paris is Always a Good Idea premieres July 30, with the first two episodes on Hallmark+, followed by a new episode every Thursday through August 27.
