As a model, Cara Delevingne is used to having her hair constantly styled in different ways, but the British beauty debuted a totally new look over the weekend, opting for something a little more long term. The 22-year-old model stepped out for the LACMA Film and Art gala rocking a new brunette hairdo, as she posed on the red carpet in a showstopping black dress with a thigh high slit.

This is the first time that Cara Delevingne has dyed her hair since being a model

Cara, who is often spotted wearing her hair down in tousled waves and a beanie hat, channelled old-Hollywood as she showed off her new hair colour in side-swept, loose curls for extra red carpet glamour.

The young supermodel has taken the fashion industry by storm with her effortlessly cool and edgy style, however this is the first time that she has opted to change her hair and dye it a different colour. Cara follows in the footsteps of fellow Burberry model and close friend Suki Waterhouse, who also became a brunette earlier this year. Suki, 22, was first spotted rocking her new hair colour during a night out in London, however her new locks made their official red carpet debut at the world premiere of her new film Love, Rosie.

Celebrity hairdresser Jack Howard, who was behind Suki's new look, revealed that it took over six hours to completely change her hair colour, before stylist Stephen Low trimmed her hair and added volume.
