Emma Watson joins the bob brigade with gorgeous new cut

Emma Watson has been keeping a relatively low profile in recent months, but the 25-year-old made quite the entrance on Tuesday night at the Eco-Age screening of documentary The True Cost. The former Harry Potter star wowed fans as she debuted a gorgeous new bob hairstyle, a stark contrast to the long tresses she has been rocking this past year.

Looking every inch a beauty icon, the British actress flaunted her new 'do at the film screening, wearing her glossy brunette locks down in tousled waves. Emma complemented the style by pairing it with winged black eyeliner and a slick of pale pink lipstick.

The Hollywood starlet also showed off her style credentials in a sleek black dress teamed with an elegant camel coat and a colourful sequinned handbag.

Emma was co-hosting the screening of The True Cost with Livia Firth, and was spotted mingling with guests throughout the evening including Patrick Dempsey and Livia's husband and actor Colin Firth.

Emma has previously been rocking long tresses

Describing working with Livia as a "privilege", Emma took to Instagram to share a sweet selfie of the pair with her 4.9 million followers, in which the two women are seen beaming for the camera.

"Love her!" the UN Goodwill Ambassador captioned the image. "Privilege to host a screening of The True Cost with @livia_firth, Andrew Morgan and Lucy Siegle tonight. Watch at http://truecostmovie.com or on @netflix."

Emma is no stranger to experimenting with short hairstyles – in the past she has already rocked a short pixie cut followed by a bob as she grew it out. There's no doubt that short hair has been a huge trend amongst the A-list: stars such as Jennifer Lawrence, Khloé Kardashian, Alessandra Ambrosio and Naomi Campbell have all recently gone for the chop and joined the bob brigade.
