Brooklyn Beckham has embraced the man braids trend

In the photo posted for his 5.9 million followers, Brooklyn can be seen sporting an effortlessly cool plaited style following the middle parting of his hair, secured in place with a small hairband.

Although the son of David and Victoria Beckham didn't include a caption, fans quickly noted he was experimenting with the popular look, with the comments section of his snap being inundated with compliments. "His hair is better looking than mine...." quipped one of his female fans.

Brooklyn is renowned for being a trendsetter

Braids and plaits have been sweeping the women's beauty world, but it seems the craze has now hit men's grooming, with thousands of men trying out the look – which sees them using one section of their hair to create a braid- across the world and sharing their styles on Instagram.

It's not the first time a member of the Brooklyn clan has tried the look – David famously rocked braids during his footballing days, and the style has become one of his most iconic looks to date.

David often speaks proudly of his eldest son, and has admitted in the past that Brooklyn appears to be fast surpassing him in the popularity stakes thanks to his social media presence.

"It's interesting going out with him though because he gets so much attention when we're out," the 40-year-old recently admitted on Manchester radio station KEY 103.

"We normally get people now coming up and saying, 'Would you mind taking a picture with me?', and they're actually talking to Brooklyn rather than myself. And I'm the one that takes the picture!"
