One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson isn't the only one in his family who goes on tour. His younger sister Lottie has already been making waves in the world of hair and make-up, training with celebrity beauty guru Lou Teasdale, and now the 17-year-old is heading off to tour with Selena Gomez.

Lottie revealed that it was while supporting her famous brother and One Direction that she first met the Same Old Love singer, and the two quickly bonded.

"She was on the X Factor in the UK at the same time as [One Direction] were," Lottie told Elle. "We met backstage. She came to Lou to ask her to do her hair. She had really long hair at the time, and it was getting all knotted up.

"So I was assisting Lou with her hair, and she asked for a make-up touch-up. I said, 'Sure, I can do that!' And she liked it, and we're still in contact."

Although Lottie is no stranger to the world of touring – she has often supported her brother and also works with Lou on a series of different projects including London Fashion Week – the young star admitted she was slightly nervous about branching out on her own.

"Probably just missing home. I'm in quite a good position because I've done the One Direction tour already, so I know a lot of what to expect. But it's different because I'll be on my own at first; I won't have my brother or Lou or anyone with me," she explained.

"So I'll have to meet people and make friends. That's the part that's the hardest, just not knowing who I'll be with, when I'm so used to being on tour with people I'm really close with. Hopefully my family will come visit from time to time, and make it easier."

With over two million followers on Twitter and Instagram respectively, there's no doubt that Lottie has already established herself as a force to be reckoned with – and she's just getting started.
