Never one to shy away from experimenting with his hair, Adam Levine has once again shown off his edgy side with an eye-catching makeover. The Maroon 5 singer took to Instagram to reveal that he has shaved his hair into a mohawk hairstyle, one of his boldest looks to date.

While most people would head to the salon for such a drastic change, the 37-year-old took matters into his own hands and shaved the sides of his head himself. Wife Behati Prinsloo, who is currently pregnant with the couple's first child, was on hand to capture the moment with her camera.
In the snap, which Adam shared with his 7.4 million followers, the singer can be seen showing off his skills as he shaves his head into the mohawk, explaining that "this is what happens when you cut your own" hair.

Meanwhile Behati can be spotted in the corner of the photo posing with her camera, her baby bump kept out of the shot.
It's not the first time that Adam has unveiled a new hairstyle with his wife at his side. In 2014 the She Will Be Loved hitmaker caused a social media frenzy when he took to Twitter to reveal he had dyed his trademark brunette hair into a striking shade of platinum blonde.

At the time, Adam admitted that he didn't understand the public's fascination with his hair. "There are so many things to talk about," he told E!. "I didn't know anybody would be so fixated on this. I wanted to do something crazy. I don't know why I did it. I really couldn't tell you logically there was a reason."
It's no doubt been an exciting few months for Adam and Behati as they prepare to welcome their first child. The couple, who tied the knot in 2014, are set to welcome a baby girl later this year, according to multiple reports, with the newborn baby due on 20 September, Us Weekly reports.
Adam and Behati had first revealed the pregnancy in March, when Adam shared a snap of his wife's tiny blossoming baby bump. "My two favourite Lakers fans," the excited dad-to-be wrote next the photo, along with a baby emoji.
