With all the promo around her new Peacock glossy drama The Five Star Weekend, I couldn't help but marvel at Jennifer Garner's hair. It's so full, so bouncy and so glossy. Just what is the 54-year-old's secret?
Turns out Jennifer Garner really is a girl's girl - she loves to share her favorite beauty treatments with us girlies, including the products she loves to use to keep her trademark hair so gorgeous.

I did some searching and found Jennifer offered up her entire hair routine in a TikTok last year, a routine aimed towards keeping her signature brunette hair as healthy as possible. As we age, our hair ages too and us women can suffer from hair shedding, thinning hair and drier, more brittle strands - which is why Ben Affleck's ex sharing her full hair routine is a godsend.
In a GRWM on TikTok, Jen takes her fans through her entire bedtime routine, step by step. It's worth noting, all of the products she uses are by Virtue, a brand the 13 Going On 30 actress is a spokesperson for after her hairstylist, Adir Abergel (and Nicole Kidman, who rates the products) introduced her to the range.
"It's time to go to bed. But first, let's take care of our hair," Jennifer says to camera. Showing the Virtue Overnight Scalp & Hair Elixir to camera, the mum-of-three pumps the product into her hands before taking in its scent. "It smells like bedtime," she adds, noting the fragrance includes lavender, chamomile and white bergamot. "All kinds of yummy stuff."
As she's working the product into her scalp, Jen lists the key ingredients which include Hyaluronic Acid, peptides, ceramides, prebiotics - "It's like skincare for your face, except for the top of your head."
The product is designed to rebalance the health of your scalp, encouraging healthier, stronger hair and to create an environment where new hair can grow. Jen lists the positives she's found from using the product: "It gives your hair resilience, it encourages your hair to grow. When you wake up, your scalp will thank you for it."
Jennifer goes on to spritz a few pumps of the Virtue Flourish Density Booster (£47 in UK) a further hair growth treatment that Jen applies at night.
The science behind the product
The brand describes the product as a "lightweight, non-greasy" serum to nourish and hydrate the scalp. The theory is, a healthier scalp barrier encourages more hair growth, and healthier hair growth at that.
The main ingredient, Akulpha Keratin 60®, is clinically proven to restore and replenish keratin that's lost due to daily damage. The brand suggests using it as you would a face mask - apply to dry or damp hair and scalp before bed, working it through the hair and massaging into the scalp.
It's also not said to stain sheets or pillows, which we're glad to hear as we can't imagine Jennifer Garner would be pleased if it did...!
What are verified shoppers saying about the Virtue Overnight Hair & Scalp Elixir?
The product gets an impressive 4.5 stars out of 5 from almost 500 shoppers. I love that one says it made her hair "look more youthful" and another loved how silky her hair was after continued use.
"This one made the biggest impact on my 57-year-old post-menopausal, graying, fine, dry hair. The frizz and brittleness are back to smoothness, and shine," one shopper wrote.
