Anton Du Beke, 57, has revealed that he underwent a £10,000 hair transplant in Dublin. The Strictly Come Dancing star - who was eliminated from the BBC One competition last week with dance partner Ruth Langsford – told The Mirror that he was feel insecure about his thinning hair and wanted to do something about it. He said: "I was looking at photos and images of myself on television and saw it going a bit thin at the front. I'd cover it with make-up and make sure I didn’t stand under certain lights. Basically, I didn’t like it very much." The dad-of-two said that it was Cold Feet actor James Nesbitt who recommended the procedure, and that he now feels a lot more confident having gone through with the procedure. "I feel 25 again. It's given me so much more confidence when appearing on television or having my picture taken," he confessed.

Ruth and Anton were the seventh couple to be voted off of Strictly last week, losing out in the dance off to Jonnie Peackock and Oti Mabuse. Speaking about her time on the show, Ruth shared: "I'm disappointed for Anton because he should be going to Blackpool. He's made this whole thing so much fun, I've absolutely loved it, even the judges' comments, even Craig's - he knows I love him really!" She added: "All those wonderful people up there, they all deserve to be going to Blackpool. And you Anton Du Beke, are just the most fabulous man, so funny and you are a beautiful dancer and I hope we will be friends for a very long time."
