Back in May, Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor spoke to HELLO! about turning 50. Accompanying the interview was a stunning photo shoot that showed the fresh-faced actress looking nowhere near her age. Now, Alice Theobald, the make-up artist who created Sally's look, shares her beauty secrets with HELLO! Online. "It was so reassuring to work with Sally — it seems you really can look incredible as you get a little older. Sally looks amazing at 50," said Alice. "Daily skin care is essential to stay looking your best. I recommend Murad Essential-C Cleanser applied to your face morning and night, using the Clarisonic facial brush. This ensures utterly clean and gently exfoliated skin. Then apply Ovine Placenta face cream which is exclusively available from abeautifulworld.co.uk . It raises eyebrows for all the right reasons, and is dubbed 'the ultimate anti-wrinkle cream' and is causing a storm in LA right now!"

"To bring out Sally's youthful glow I chose Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation. For an even finish, I applied this base using my Clinique foundation brush blending it into the neck for a seamless finish. A little tip of mine to add sparkle to any complexion is a good light reflective pen. I favour Estée Lauder's Ideal Light, it's my little magic wand!" "To give an extra lift to the eye area, I ran the High Brow Glow pencil by Benefit under the eyebrow arch. To set the foundation base I selected a light dusting of Givenchy's Prisme Powder applied with Laura Mercier's fan brush. Be warned ladies, less is more! Too much can age the skin." "I enhanced Sally's brows using Chanel's brow brush dipped into Chanel's Perfect Brows Palette. Strengthening the eyebrow instantly lifts and frames ones face. It's like a mini face lift." "To create her beautiful eyes, I used one of my favourite eye palettes by Guerlain, 06 Les Fumes 4 colour. I chose this compact to define her eyes. The light metallic texture makes them pop! I started by smoothing the medium brown shade from the lid to the socket and blending upwards using the Laura Mercier All Over Eye brush. I then took the darkest shade into the socket line and along the lash line to add depth. I used the frosted shade in the inner corner for extra sparkle."

"Taking Guerlain Black Powder Kohl, I then swept the applicator along the upper and lower lash line for an instant smudged effect. For Sally's luscious lashes I added a few individual Eylure lash inserts. I blended the lashes together by wiggling Benefit's They're Real mascara wand through." "The combination of a little Calypso Coral by Bobbi Brown dabbed on the apples of Sally's cheeks finished with a pop of Chanel's Pink Explosion on top added a youthful 3D radiance, which gave the cheeks a plumped-up finish." "I kept her lips looking fresh with Laura Mercier's Rose Flush gloss, which adds shine, colour and fullness." "And lastly, my top tip is to moisturise all over. As we age our skin tends to dry out. I adore Jo Malone's Body Crème Pour Le Corps, many of which have a matching cologne. Red Roses is my favourite."
