Kim Kardashian has waded into the much-talked about debate over breastfeeding in public. The 35-year-old, who welcomed her son Saint West in December, discussed her personal opinions and beliefs on the issue in a post on her app on Tuesday.
"I know some people find breastfeeding such a private, personal experience, while other people are very open and even breastfeed in public," Kim wrote. "Now that I'm a mom, I say whatever makes you comfortable goes."
Kim Kardashian said she wouldn't personally breastfeed in public
However she has admitted that she doesn't personally feel comfortable feeding her son Saint in public.
"I still personally wouldn't breastfeed at a restaurant with a bunch of people I didn't know staring at me," Kim continued. "I've seen this before and remember tweeting how shocked I was. Now that I'm a mom, I'm not that shocked, especially if you have a few kids and can't leave to breastfeed one kid in the bathroom while leaving the others at the table.
"But I still personally wouldn't do it, unless it was an emergency situation and I was fully covered."
The reality TV star is a mum to daughter North, two, and son Saint, seven weeks
Kim continued to say that she is fine with feeding her baby boy in front of her close friends and family, and wouldn't judge anyone who decided to share a picture of themselves breastfeeding on social media.
"I know people have their opinions on how others should live their lives and I try not to be judgmental anymore – this is simply my opinion."
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has been open about her experiences of motherhood, and recently admitted she was "delirious" in a tweet lamenting the fact that she was up at 4am to feed her baby boy.
"This 4am feeding really kills me. I'm like delirious," she tweeted.
