As the heatwave rippled through the UK, Amanda Owen's family have been thrown into "chaos" as they sought inventive ways to keep cool.
Doting mother to nine children, Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy, the Yorkshire Shepherdess joined some of her youngest kids at the local watering hole where they could enjoy a swim in the refreshing river. One of her daughters was pictured turning the area into a makeshift spa, lying face down on a towel with stones resting along her back.
The family's dog also had his own mini hot stone massage before the kids and their pet pooch jumped into the murky brown water.
"Calm and chaos," Amanda joked in the caption of the Instagram photos, and her followers took to the comments section to praise her relatable post.
"Chaos is good for you," wrote one, while a second added: "Such an uplifting inspiration Amanda and your beautiful babies."
Commenting on the busy schedule of working on the farm, a third remarked: "Perfect! Way to enjoy life…. Working hard when you need to and always having those special times to unwind and be silly."
The relaxing day out comes just days after Amanda's son Miles was taken to Darlington Hospital due to diabetic ketoacidosis. After a "hard few days", he returned to the farm "feeling better and looking better".
Inside family dynamics
Amanda and her ex Clive rose to fame on the hit series Our Yorkshire Farm alongside their nine children. However, they hit the headlines in 2022 after they announced their split after 22 years together.
Setting the record straight on her "intertwined" life with her ex, whom she still works with, Amanda told HELLO!: "What am I supposed to say, 'We get on like a house on fire?' Well, if we did, we wouldn't want to separate, would we? He's still the same annoying old Clive that he always was. I've seen him just now, and he's still annoying - I annoy him, and he annoys me."
While he continues to live on Ravenseat Farm and she lives nearby, she insists there will be no drastic separation. "I mean, how would we even divide that up? I mean, it's just not even happening. Who would get custody of all the sheep and the dogs and the horses, and who would want custody? It's tricky when businesses and families are so intertwined. Then, there must be a compromise on both sides."
