London’s shopping haven, Selfridges, has leant its star power to aid Look Good…Feel Better (LGFB) – the cancer support charity – by hosting its first ever ‘Festival of Fragrance’ in the famous department store.
Any woman will tell you that the scents we wear – whether floral or fruity notes, woody scents or a fresh zesty spritz – are the ultimate form of self-expression and can say a lot about someone.
And by partaking in the scintillating series of events that will run from 2nd to 10th March, you can look and feel your best, find the perfect perfume that suits your personality to a tee, while also supporting the fantastic cause.
Each brand involved – everyone from Guerlian, Chanel to Dior – will make a donation of £1 per fragrance product sold during the week, allowing LGFB to further develop its unique programme of helping women combat the visible side effects of cancer and cancer treatment.
Money raised will provide free skincare and make-up workshops at over 65 hospitals and cancer centres in the UK.
With a firm focus on the importance of Mother’s Day throughout the exciting turn of events, the Festival of Fragrance will celebrate the special cross-generational relationship between mothers, daughters and grandmothers while also exploring the ways in which fragrances evoke past memories and trigger certain thoughts.
Securing a ticket to the 'Festival of Fragrance' will ensure an exclusive and sumptuous dinner held at the favourite fashionista hangout, the HIX restaurant in Selfridges, fragrance conferences led by Jo Fairley, Vicci Bentley, Persolaise and Odette Toilette and the crème de la crème – an exclusive out of hours shopping experience.
Away from the crowds, guests can explore the world of fragrance and the endless selection of sweet scents in the Selfridge's surroundings with an unrivalled access to fragrance consultants. Enough to persuade many a perfume purchase, get your tickets booked while stocks last.
