It's over and out from fashion month, and, frankly, we are still reeling. From Coperni robot dogs and horsing around at Stella McCartney to Zendaya's short shorts and Florence Pugh's see-through skirt (bonus: Avril Lavigne and Tyga – did anyone see that coming?), it certainly wasn't lacking in major drama.
The beauty sphere was enhanced with another rich crop of hair and makeup looks – and while the breakaway trends are pretty bold, they could 100% be slotted into your current routine.

Blackened wine lips

Dark, vampiric lips feel synonymous with all things autumn/winter, but at Roksanda, Rebecca Davenport's "blackened wine" vision felt anything but trite. Lips were finished with a slick of Isamaya Beauty's Liplacq Maximizing Lip Serum, a black gloss with a subtle red shimmer. Rich mahogany shades were also on the agenda at Adeam and Dolce & Gabbana, which feels like a wearable step down from super statement black lips as seen at Mark Fast and Bora Asku.

Goth-girl liner

Clearly Netflix's Wednesday has had a lasting effect on the beauty sphere because the glam-goth trend is expected to flourish in AW23. Black contacts at Rick Owens served up major macabre – fine for a calculated look, but too spine-chilling for everyday. Instead, we're taking our cues from Rodarte and Feben with extended wings and razor-sharp precision in the inner corners.

Playful brights

Terry Barber's botanical-inspired lids at Richard Quinn felt soft, and yet quietly striking sans both liner and mascara. Powdery pastels accompanied super skinny brows, cutesy Y2K butterfly clips and face gems at Conner Ives but in terms of wearability, we've fallen hard for coloured liner. Carolina Herrera championed supercharged lilac and fresh lemon shades – consider us hooked.

Blunt bob

Short hairstyles are all the rage right now, and when it comes to polish, the blunt bob is unrivalled. There were no flyaways in sight on shorter lengths at 16Arlington and Alice + Olivia, and if you're feeling really brave, we recommend a sharp 1920s-esque cut, as seen at Ulla Johnson.
Larger-than-life lashes

At Kiko Kostadinov, models graced the runway in black and white striped XXL individual lashes, Pat McGrath's dusty pastel faux feather eyelashes at Prada felt similarly statement and dramatic clusters adorned bottom lines at Chet Lo.
