While we have seen her emulate her mother-in-lawVictoria Beckham’s style plenty of times, she’s now just worn an outfit which was a masterclass in the casual-royal aesthetic.
In a photo posted on her InstagramNicola shared several photos of herself wearing a baggy, navy sweatshirt with ‘Royal club’ embroidery featuring a polo player and their horse. "The sport of kings" is of course a spectator sport for high society, so it's unsurprising that Princess Dianawas spotted at matches frequently, cheering on her then-husband King Charles III. The sweatshirt Nicola wore which hails from Italian brand Subdued boasts a crew neckline, long sleeves and relaxed fit and could not be more Diana-esque.
The internet has already dubbed Princess Diana the OG insta baddie thanks to her elevated off-duty looks; the late royal had a penchant for cycling shorts, chunky trainers and loved a graphic oversized sweatshirt in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Hailey Bieber has also championed the Princess Di look several times, and has admitted to being a fan of her iconic style. As one of the world's most famous and photographed royals of all time, it makes sense that Bieber, a street styleicon herself, would take cues from Lady Di. Hailey's everyday uniform of oversized mens tailoring, post-gym ensembles of baggy T-shirts, cycling shorts, and white sneakers are clearly Princess Diana-esque in their aesthetic.
In an interview with Harper's Bazaar the 25-year-old supermodel confirmed, "I was really inspired by the fact that she was the most-looked-at woman in the world at that time, of all time, and she did what she wanted with her style… She really expressed herself through her style despite being in the position she was in."

The supermodel also penned an Instagram post about the princess back in 2019 which said, "Thank you for leaving behind such an iconic fashion and style legacy."
