There's actually nothing 'quiet' about the term 'Quiet Luxury' because nobody has stopped talking about it for well over a year.

A-listers Gwyneth Paltrow and Sofia Richie pioneered the minimalistic trend, no doubt influenced by TV sensation Succession and the way its hideously wealthy characters flaunted their finances in a very low-key manner. (Ludicrously capacious bag anyone?)  The fashionistas swiftly followed suit including Hailey Bieber and Jennifer Lawrence.

What is quiet luxury?

Luxury clothing with a relaxed 'don't-look-at-me' aesthetic, essentially the antithesis to logomania and y2k maximalism. The point of Quiet Luxury is that you know where the pieces are from, just by looking at them, (think The Row, Loewe or Celine.)

“Quiet Luxury is a new age minimalism style, and in terms of clothes they are investment pieces and forever staples that will last in your wardrobe,” stylist Georgie Gray told H! Fashion,  ‘Quiet Luxury’ is the most sustainable as you have chosen pieces that will last in your wardrobe forever. It’s a smart aesthetic, with classic cuts and designer labels that you will never get bored of,”

So if you just want to dip a toe into the trend, why not invest in a piece or two from the Quiet Luxury category that can be slotted into your wardrobe with ease, even if you're a hardcore maximalist (trust us, it'll work). These are high-quality, unfussy, elevated basics that will outlive every season for a long time. And lets be honest, sometimes it's fun to do a little Gwyneth cosplay isn't it?

    Editor's Note

Quiet Luxury jewellery means thick, weighty pieces with timeless designs like this gorgeous sunflower from SAINT DAVIS, a London based fine jewellery brand who take their inspiration from nature.

This necklace comes  with two pendants, one large,  to be worn at the front, and another which is half the size, worn at the back to act as a counterweight so your necklace will stay perfectly put. Very clever.
