Emmerdale actress Katherine Dow Blyton’s character Harriet Finch is set to have a terrifying reunion with her vengeful ex Will Taylor on Thursday evening, with her life hanging in the balance after being crushed by a coffin. However, her time away from the soap is thankfully a lot less dramatic, with the 54-year-old often sharing glimpses of her relaxing home life on Twitter – particularly her beloved dog Dexter.

The former Hollyoaks star often posts photos of the canine on social media, sharing snippets of her residence in the process, with cosy blankets, cushions and vases of fresh flowers creating a homely feel. Take a look through the gallery to see more…

Katherine appears to love having fresh flowers around her home, but lamented that these blooms had wilted within hours of putting them into a glass vase. The actress had the flowers on display in her kitchen, which has wooden worktops, open shelving, and a purple toaster on the side.

Five bottles of alcohol lined up: wine, small clear bottle, Smirnoff vodka, Mosaic Pale Ale, and Citra IPA.

The Emmerdale star joked with her former co-star Gemma Atkinson that she may need to read her diet and fitness book after sharing a look at the alcohol stash she had lined up in her kitchen, including vodka, gin and wine.

Katherine created a cosy setup when her boiler stopped working, using it as an excuse to get extra cuddles from her pet dog, with the pair wrapped up under checked blankets and a vibrant pink pillow.

Katherine’s bedroom has a muted cream and grey colour scheme, with shutter blinds at the windows, framed photos hanging on the wall, and a vase of flowers next to the bed.

Dexter definitely appears to be doted on by the soap star, with lots of cushions and fleece blankets in his bed to keep him warm and comfortable.
