King Charles has returned to duties after his summer break at Balmoral Castle, and now his beloved Scottish home is set for a change. The team has excitedly announced that the Autumn tickets are now on sale for visitors to come between 29 September and 1 November.
They revealed all in an Instagram post on Thursday. Alongside a stunning photo of the historic residence, it read: "Tickets for our 2026 Autumn Opening are now available to book online.
"From Tuesday 29th September through to Sunday 1st November, Balmoral will once again welcome visitors to explore the grounds and gardens, visit the Ballroom Exhibition, browse the Mews Gift Shop and enjoy a visit to our Restaurant.
"A selection of special experiences will also take place throughout the autumn and early winter, including our Castle Interior Tours, Evenings at Balmoral and Balmoral Expedition Tours.
"We look forward to welcoming you back to Balmoral Castle this autumn. Please visit our website for full opening dates and times, and to book your tickets. Link in bio."
Charles' change at Balmoral
Since King Charles took over Balmoral Castle from his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, he decided to open the doors of more of the interiors to members of the public. After it was a sell-out success in 2024, His Majesty has continued with the venture in subsequent years.
During the exclusive tours, visitors are able to see the Entrance Hall, the Red Corridor, the Library, the Family Dining Room and the Drawing Room inside the iconic castle. These are rooms still used by the royal family regularly, and the library is a place that acts as Charles' study when he is staying at the residence.
What's staying at Balmoral really like?
Ruthie Henshall, the ex-girlfriend of Prince Edward, told HELLO!'s A Right Royal Podcast what it's really like to stay at the iconic castle. The West End star revealed that she was welcomed with her own personal maid upon arrival but then conversely was so astonished when King Charles (then Prince) started "manning the bar".

He continued: I was always too busy fishing, shooting, running up and down 'the hill' to notice anything off about the feng shui of the old castle. What I’m trying to say is, I was happy there."
