Growing up in royalty, Prince William will have had servants to tend to his every need, whether it was clearing the table, preparing a meal or even taking the bins out.
However, whenever the Prince of Wales is visiting his in-laws, Michael and Carole Middleton, it appears that the heir to the throne is put to work just like any other member of the family.
Speaking on True Royalty TV, Russell Myers, the royal editor of the Daily Mirror, revealed how William helps out with Carole. "I remember being told by close friends of the Middletons how there were no airs and graces," he said.
"If he was staying, he was mucking in, laying the table. He was helping make the Sunday dinner. If he was lying on the sofa with his feet up, Carole will give him a nudge and tell him to take the bins out."
However, none of this bothers William, with Russell explaining: "That is exactly how they treated him, and he absolutely loved it."
What is Prince William's relationship like with his in-laws?
William has always been close to Michael and Carole, and the pair couldn't contain their joy when it was confirmed that William was engaged to their daughter, the now Princess of Wales.
Speaking publicly shortly after the engagement was announced, Michael said: "Carole and I are absolutely delighted by today's announcement and thrilled by the prospect of a wedding sometime next year.

He added: "We all think he's wonderful and we're extremely fond of him. They make a lovely couple. They're great fun to be with, and we've had a lot of laughs together. We wish them every happiness for the future."
Meanwhile, back in 2024, William was spotted taking his mother-in-law out for a pub lunch, as they both supported Princess Kate through her cancer diagnosis.
In his Eden Confidential column in the Mail, Richard Eden wrote: "Prince Harry said he and Meghan fled Britain in 2020 'fearing for our lives', yet his brother Prince William seems able to enjoy a pretty normal life.

He went on to reveal that the pub trip was a "low-key" affair and that there was "no sign" of Kate.
