It would seem that even life's simplest activities can take on an air of celebration when shared with the right person. Prince Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall both appeared to be having a whale of a time when they took part in a tree planting ceremony near their home in Highgrove this week.
The Prince of Wales, who was sporting a daisy in the lapel of his grey suit, could barely contain his good mood as he watched his wife show off her green fingered skills. And Camilla likewise appeared to be relishing the moment as she did her bit to put down some new roots in the area.
Earlier in the day the couple were treated to a virtuoso musical performance on the lawn of their Gloucestershire home. The Westwood String Quartet, who were invited along to play at a garden party, brought a smile to their hosts' faces when they eschewed the classical numbers they are best known for by including Teddy Bears' Picnic in their recital.
