undertook her first royal engagement on Saturday.

the tender age of just two

, Sweden's future queen made her first official appearance at Linkoping castle, in

the province of Östergötland

, with her parents

Crown Princess Victoria

and

Prince Daniel

.The youngster, who is the Duchess of

Östergötland,

happily accepted flowers from her waiting fans while simultaneously beaming at the flag-bearing crowd.

Estelle, who is similar in age to

Prince Christian of Denmark

when he carried out his first engagement, walked hand-in-hand with her father as the royals arrived at the castle, before being scooped up into Daniel's arms for the last part of the walk.

Earlier in the day the royal trio opened the Fairytale Path at Lake Takern, much to the delight of the young princess.
