Prince Joachim and Princess Marie's daughter can be seen moving a car around the track in one photo, before breaking into laughter in another candid picture.

The Danish royals have previously released playful shots of Athena on her birthday. When she turned one in 2013 her proud parents shared a set of touching images showing the happy toddler with her mother Marie.

Athena has a five-year-old brother, Prince Henrik, two half-brothers Prince Nikoli, 15, and Prince Felix, 12, and is cousin to Princess Mary and Prince Frederik's four children.
