With the dresses and jewels worn by the Duchess of Cambridge flying off the shelves each time she steps out, there's no denying that Prince William's wife is a bona fide style star - and the same is true of Kate's maternity style. Just two hours after the Cambridge's first family portrait was published, her magenta Seraphine dress sold out in every colour.
The "Kate effect" was in full force again recently when the pregnant brunette made an appearance in Portsmouth in a cream Max Mara coat, which boasts a comparatively hefty price tag to her high-street fare but was still snapped up by admirers.
"It's always quite a collaboration," designer Jenny Packham, who frequently dresses the Duchess for formal occasions, told WWD. This past December, while on a three-day royal tour in New York City with Prince William, the expectant mom dazzled in a midnight-blue gown by the designer at a gala celebrating the duo's alma mater, St. Andrew's.
