The Princess of Wales truly stole the show at the London premiere of Tom Cruise's upcoming action comedy vehicle Digger.
Kate went with an ethereal royal purple Jenny Packham dress, covered in elegant pleats with cap sleeves, a plunging neckline and semi-sheer detailing.

She paired the look with her hair styled down in loose waves and a very special piece of royal jewelry, the Queen Mother's Amethyst Sautoir Necklace.
The piece features a pearl necklace with the inlay jewel being the absolute highlight, a heart-shaped amethyst and diamond pendant. The necklace is also over a century old, originally a gift from Queen Alexandra to her new granddaughter-in-law, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon upon her wedding day in 1923. Queen Camilla also wore it to the Skyfall premiere back in 2012.

Joining her was Prince William, who went with a smart black velvet tuxedo with silver trim and a matching bowtie, with the pair then enthusiastically greeting Tom.
The royal couple have been friends with the Mission: Impossible actor for years, attending many of his London premieres, the last being 2022's Top Gun: Maverick.

Tom will star in Alejandro G. Iñárritu's Digger, set for an October 2 wide release, playing oil baron Digger Rockwell, who is trying to fix an impending environmental disaster that his company caused with nothing but a shovel. Watch the trailer for it below...
Speaking with GQ recently about the role, Tom said: "It is the culmination of all my skills. I've never done it before. Everything that I've done has been very thought-out, why I did it. I have personal goals and challenges with everything I do. I was so excited to be able to have this character. It's the most challenging character ever."
When challenged on whether the role was even more of a herculean task than some of his Mission: Impossible films or his dramatic work like Magnolia, he countered: "I understand. Look, I love it. Each one is a challenge."
"This is the culmination of ability, where you're looking at the timing, the rhythm, the language. There's layer upon layer of skills for this performance. And with [Alejandro], it's so precise, what he's able to do."

And he makes it look like you have the handheld and he's walking into these places. I'm going, 'Oh my God, the colors and the sets are thought-out. The framing is thought-out. It's everything and it's making it look like it's not thought-out.' And the impact and the power was just like a hammer. You go, 'Oh my God, look at this diamond.'"
