The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will carry out a day of engagements in Luton, Bedfordshire on Wednesday 24 August, Kensington Palace has revealed. The engagements will reflect Prince William and Kate's continued support for mental health and emotional wellbeing, as well as hospice care.

The first of the three engagements will take them to Bute Mills where the couple, both 34, will meet local organisations doing ground-breaking work with young people, with a focus on mental health.

The newly renovated building serves as the new home for Youthscape; William and Kate will be given a tour of the facilities and an introduction to the charity. The couple will also meet CHUMS, a mental health and emotional wellbeing service for children and young people. They will see how the organisation supports young people dealing with or affected by suicide.

Prince William and Kate have three scheduled engagements in Luton

Next, William and Kate will visit Keech Hospice Care, where they will meet families, friends and volunteers of the hospice which supports both children and adults. The royals will attend a reception where they will unveil a plaque and cut a cake to mark 25 years of the adult hospice.

Their final engagement will take the Duke and Duchess to manufacturing giants Hayward Tyler, whose key products include the boiler circulating pump and wet-wound motors. William and Kate will present the company with The Queen's Award for Enterprise (International Trade) and will open their newly built Centre of Excellence.

They will walk the production line and meet graduates, apprentices and staff members, before presenting the award.

The couple recently returned from a summer holiday in France

The Luton engagements will mark a return to royal duties after the summer. While William has already gone back to work for East Anglia Air Ambulance, where he is employed as an air ambulance pilot on a shift basis, Kate has been enjoying some time off with the couple's two children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The family-of-four managed to take a short trip to France at the end of July, and have been spending the rest of the summer in their country home Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

William and Kate have an exciting autumn planned ahead of them. They will go on a tour of Canada, and may even bring their little Prince and Princess, although it has yet to be confirmed.
