There was great excitement amongst royal watchers on Tuesday as new details of King Charles and Queen Camilla's coronation were announced.

And while fans pored over every update - from Prince George's very special role on the day, to the design of the invitation itself – the King hosted a low-key party at Windsor Castle.

Following in a tradition established by his late mother, who would host a dinner party at the castle every April, Charles welcomed a number of esteemed guests, including the Dean of Windsor.

Given that this is a private event, no photos will be shared – but it's highly likely that the upcoming coronation was the main talking point. Here's everything you need to know about the historic event.
