The Middleton family have welcomed a new addition to the fold with the arrival of James Middleton and Alizee Thevenet's first child.

The new parents were pictured enjoying a stroll with their newborn in London's Notting Hill, and it appears that James's sister, the Princess of Wales, has given them an incredible gift.

James was seen pushing his little one in a navy Silver Cross pram – identical to one that Kate was once seen using when Prince George was a born.

The Silver Cross Sleepover Elegance is considered the "Rolls-Royce of prams" and features a quilted leatherette exterior. It comes complete with a super-snug pram liner and breathable mattress.

The luxurious buggy isn't the only Silver Cross model owned by Kate.

The Princess was also seen pushing a £1,600 Silver Cross Balmoral buggy at Princess Charlotte's christening in Sandringham, Norfolk in 2015.

The Silver Cross business received a royal warrant in the early 20th century, with King George VI and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother using one for Queen Elizabeth II when she was a tot.

The late Diana, Princess of Wales also owned Silver Cross prams for sons Prince William and Prince Harry when they were babies.

Entrepreneur James, 36, announced the news that he and Alizee were expecting their first child in a sweet Instagram post featuring the couple's beloved dogs, back in July.

James and Alizee celebrated their second wedding anniversary in September, with James sharing a snap of the pair on board a boat with his wife styling her baby bump in a white dress.

"Happy Anniversary my darling. Two years married and I couldn’t be more in love with you and still, the best is yet to come…" he wrote in the caption.

The pair had to post their original wedding twice because of the COVID-19 pandemic but eventually tied the knot surrounded by their family and friends in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France in 2021 – including the groom's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and sisters, Kate and Pippa.

James and Alizee's first child is the seventh grandchild for Carole and Michael.

The pair are also grandparents to Prince William and Kate's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as well as Pippa and her husband James Matthews' kids – Arthur, Grace and Rose.

James and Alizee live close to Carole and Michael's Grade II-listed home, Bucklebury Manor, in the Berkshire countryside.
