Prince Archie's godmother has surfaced in new photos shared for Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's eighth wedding anniversary.
Isabel May, a close friend of the couple known as Izzy, was seen sharing a hug with the Duke of Sussex on the couple's wedding day at St George's Chapel, Windsor, in 2018.
Though only the back of her head was seen in a picture of the embrace, she could be identified by her butter-yellow dress and matching hat.
Izzy has long been rumoured to be one of Prince Archie's godparents, as reported by Vanity Fair in 2019, though this has never been confirmed.
At the wedding, she was seated in the second row on the bride's side, showing her importance to the couple, and was said to be Meghan's "rock" and secret confidante for the Duchess after she moved to Britain. Her appearance in the wedding album implies they are still close friends.
Izzy is a history graduate of the University of Sussex and previously worked for London-based PR agency, Freuds, before becoming Director of Communications at Burberry.
Reports in 2019 suggested she once worked at David Beckham's brand DB Ventures.
She was first introduced to Meghan by their mutual friend, Soho House consultant Markus Anderson, according to the Daily Mail, and was given a front-row seat at the launch of Meghan's Smart Works capsule clothing collection in 2019.
Archie and Lilibet's godparents
Prince Harry and Meghan share two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, four.
There has long been a mystery surrounding Prince Archie's godmother, and Meghan and Harry have never confirmed who it is.
Following Archie's birth in 2018, it was revealed that the couple wouldn't be revealing the identity of his godparents and would be keeping the christening private, a departure from royal tradition.
"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will share images taken by photographer Chris Allerton. Details of the godparents will be kept private," the Palace confirmed.
However, it is thought that the Duke of Westminster, a close friend of William and Harry, is one of Archie's godfathers, alongside childhood friend Charlie van Straubenzee.
Other reports included Harry's childhood nanny, Tiggy Pettifer, as godmother, and Harry's close friend, Mark Dyer, as godfather, though this has also not been confirmed.
Princess Lilibet was christened in March 2023. Actor Tyler Perry is her godfather, as revealed in the Sussexes' 2022 Netflix series. The identity of her godmother remains unknown.
Happy anniversary!
Prince Harry and Meghan are celebrating eight years of marriage on Tuesday.
Their lives now look very different, as they have stepped down as senior royals and now live in the USA with their children. The Sussexes have strained relationships with the other members of the royal family, though Harry told ITV in a recent interview that he still considers himself to be a "working royal".
To mark the occasion, Meghan opened up her wedding album, sharing an array of stunning black-and-white photographs of her special day.
